Fox Factory Series 34 SL Suspension Fork Description:
The Factory Series Fox 34 SL Suspension Fork has packed unprecedented capability and performance into a lightweight XC racing fork chassis. Fox revamped the lowers by wrapping the sculpted arch around the lowers for a substantial improvement in torsional stiffness, and a highly machined 7000 series aluminum crown with larger internal bore further boosts stiffness while shaving as many grams as possible. Fox's signature gold Kashima coated stanchions combine with increased bushing overlap work together to minimize sticky friction and improve small bump capability over the previous generation Factory Series 34 Step Cast fork, especially when battling off camber bumps and other technical terrain.
Stuffed inside of this incredible chassis are one of two different dampers to further optimize a fork for a riders needs/riding preferences. The Grip SL damper is the lighter weight option, and this damper has been specifically designed for shorter travel forks. Despite its light weight, this damper still has three on the fly compression damping positions, and it can be locked out when sprinting or charging hard uphill (there is a blowoff function if a hard impact is encountered to prevent damage to the fork). Speaking of lockout, the Grip SL damper with a Push Lock can be locked out with a handlebar mounted lever. The other available damper for this chassis is the Grip X damper, which takes all of the goodness off the Grip SL damper and adds enhanced small bump sensitivity and tuning capabilities (while adding a nominal amount of weight) that makes this damper an excellent option for riders building up a short travel down-country trail bike. Add in the ability to fit up to a 2.5" wide tire, and any version of this versatile and lightweight fork will make any short travel trail or racing mountain bike more capable than ever before.
